band of rock

I've played it for maybe a half hour total, but it seems awesome (just the drums, though). I couldn't care less about the rest, and if you could order just the game & drums, I'd do it in a second. Odd that I'm more tempted to buy a 360 for this than I was for halo 3. Anybody actually have this?

Why is that odd? It doesn't surprise me that you'd want a game that's actually somewhat innovative and fresh over a stale, generic, bland FPS.

And Rock Band is a lot of fun - if you can snag a set, do it. Unfortunately, that will be very, very hard to do before the new year is here.

I played the drums at Best Buy for a few minutes. It SEEMED a little unresponsive, but the more I realized, the more I noticed I wasnt even hitting the drum a lot of the time because I had to play standing up. So, my guess is that its not unresponsive, or that it was only because it was the public display that goes through brutal play sessions by little children and angry rockers.

Gotta say I was enjoying myself, and I can only imagine what this would be like with 3 other people and some beer/weed.

I think it's more an issue of being more accurate, since it's not like the guitar stuff, where you can hold something down. you hit the drum, and that's it. it's got to be more exact.

Most definetely. If they are charging upwards of $200 for this game, I would expect each of the instruments to be working top-notch. I'm sure it was just my lack of drumming ability.

they work well, but the drums could definitely benefit from a bit less fischer-price-like build. The drums are rickety, and the pads can definitely get cracked by good drum sticks in the hands of an over-aggressive drunkard.

Reminds me of Donkey Kong Konga for Gamecube.

My friends and I used to have so many fun drunken nights playing the bongos to Hillary Duff.
