Review: Sunset Sessions w/ Andrew Reid and Simon Jain
As usual, yesterday I went to another Sunset Session @ the Docks. Sundays have become the higlight of my week, since I don't go out anywhere else. And, even if I do, I never have as much fun as I do at the Sunset Sessions.
I showed up by myself pretty early, around 5:45, in the hopes of meeting up with the rest of the people, but ended up sitting on the couch for about half an hour just watching people. Thanks God, Jeff, kept me company.
It didn't get busy untill about seven. Simon Jain started off the party by playing most of the songs from his promo CD that was handed out the week before, when Hector Romero was spinning. Hit set was pretty good; then, Andrew Reid took over. He played a lot of vocal stuff that I love, but wasn't really feeling it, since I am used to dancing to really hard stuff @ the Docks. But, I wasn't in the mood for it, even though I danced for a few songs. Later, he started playing more dirty stuff, which I really enjoyed.
For the next two hours, I don't really remember much, since I was hanging out with a few buddies of mine and danced quite a bit, too. I guess I had too much to drink, so I tend to forget some moments. Regardless, it was a very good party. Everyone had lots of fun; even though, there were a lot of sketchbags and topless men wearing all white (Because of the "all white" boat cruise).
Simon Jain took over by the end of the night. He played some awesome tunes, even though he did fuck up a few times. Don't drink and spin. LOL. So, now I am at work and as usual really hung over on a Monday. Trying to kill some time and looking forward to the next Sunday. First, the boat cruise with Demi, and then the Docks again with Jeff Button and Brad Copeland. Can't wait. It should be the party of the summer!!!
