Quick quick summary.
Koroma: Thought he did a good job changing it up and keepeveryone on their feet, but if I walked into the room and didn't know he was on I'd think i was listening to A&B!!
What I'm saying is that his set sounded too much like A&B themslves. Even down to playing a couple A&B (well Oceanlab, but close enougH) tracks which is a BIG NO NO NO NO NO NO.
Would say he tries too much for gradient transitions between some tracks when he should maybe transition into it going on the basslines? Hard to explain, but more of a cut transition using the bass. Sometimes when doing the gradient transition, it'll just be too much and all you hear is loudness. Really liked the set on his own and loved how a bunch of his final tracks did have huge terribly long breakdowns.
Because that's how A&B opens it up, lol. They play a lot of tracks which huge breakdowns....and kinda annoying, if you ask me.
I thought the first hour of A&B had too many long-winded breakdowns. But that's just their style. A preference thing. But after that I thought they were teh bomb.
Overall, I really did enjoy their set!
Def a great crowd and Marie was on top of the lighting just about the whole time. Lighting was better than I have seen in awhile.
Sorry to everyone I had to throw out of the booth. Was helping Taj out last night and the booth access was very, very strict.
