i think TA has become much more boring than what it used to be as well.
dunno about other forums as the ones i've visited have always sucked IMO.

Actually, I'd say Discogs is very fanboyish towards underground techno. They just hide it beneath a cover of pretentiousness. TA has more threads regarding house music than Discogs does.

The comedic value of TA cannot be overstated. The current Tyas thread is an example - absolute hilarity! The line between between snarling menace & standup comedy has been completely blown away! I think TA is the antidote for fanboys - if you snarl & bite at them long enough, they become cynical too! Almost like we're werewolves! Hmmm....
