these are the lyrics written by me
it's from the original mix which is a little different in the lyrics than the tiesto mix
piece by piece i'm released
once was mine now i'm done
turn blue like u or me
and don't lie southern sun
i still feel u beneath my skin
i am tempted to throw my senses in
cause it's easier to fly
now to face in that i lie in southern sun
and your love is always around
piece by piece i'm released
once was mine now i'm done
turn blue like u or me
and don't lie southern sun
i still feel u beneath my skin
i am tempted to throw my senses in
cause it's easier to fly
now to face in that i lie in southern sun
and your love is always around
and in the end to set me free
you last night i saw you reflected
i am this is all it meant a reaction
i still feel u beneath my skin
i am tempted to throw my senses in
cause it's easier to fly
now to face in that i lie in southern sun
and your love is always around
and in the end to set me free
cause it's easier to fly
and in the end to set me free

This is what I make of it, because no post to date exactly fits what I hear. I've compared different mixes and come to my own conclusions. Below are the lyrics of the Original Promo Mix. All the other versions simply move them around a bit.
Piece by piece
I release
Once was mine
Now undone
Turn blue like New Orleans
And went down like
The southern sun
I still feel you
Beneath my skin
I am tempted
To throw myself to th'sea
'Cause it's easier to fly
Than to face another night of southern sun
And your love is all around
Piece by piece
I release
Once was mine
Now undone
Turn blue like New Orleans
And went down the southern sun
I still feel you
Beneath my skin
I am tempted
To throw myself to th'sea
'Cause it's easier to fly
Than to face another night of southern sun
And your love is all around
And in the end you set me free
You last like a song undeflated
I'm pieces on the wind unrelated
I still feel you beneath my skin
I am tempted
To throw myself to th'sea
Cause it's easier to fly
Than to face another night of southern sun
And your love is all around
In the end you set me free
'Cause it's easier to fly
And in the end you set me free
The song is about a woman who cannot let go of her past relationship and still feels the pain of lost love within herself. The setting "southern sun" is a metaphor for her sadness. She cannot face another night of the "southern sun" because she cannot endure the sleepless nights of mourning lost love. She contemplates suicide, "flying" into the sea, as an escape to her misery. It's really a very beautiful song.
I might have a word or two wrong, but I'm very sure that these are the correct lyrics.

The father made fetuses with flesh licking ladies / While you and your mother were asleep in the trailer park / Thunderous sparks from the dark of the stadiums / The music and medicine you needed for comforting / So make all your fat, fleshy fingers fingers to moving / And pluck all your silly strings and / Bend all your notes for me and / Soft silly music is meaningful, magical / The movements were beautiful / All in your ovaries / All of them milking with green fleshy flowers / While powerful pistons were sugary sweet machines, / Smelling of semen all under the garden / Was all you were needing when you still believed in me.

Odd discrepancy in Tiesto mix
I've found an odd twist to the lyrics:
The official Tiesto remix lyrics are like what I wrote above, but in the liveset Tiesto mix rip that everyone got early there is a slight difference.
'Cause it's easier to drown
Than to face the way of this insanity
Then the truth comes back around
In the end you're not for me
There might be other differences, but I'm not sure. Personally I think these sound better than the final lyrics.

Oh, that's right!
I forgot there were two Tiesto remixes. The alternate lyrics might be from the In Search of Sunrise aka Tiesto remix 2. Thanks!

i agree with oyu mostly..
she sings
quote:
'Cause it's easier to fly
Than to face another night of southern sun
which means that it is easier to fly, ie. accomplish the impossible for humans, than to live through another night without her love.
