I understand why he was banned, and am offended myself, but it is interesting to ask why we take so much more offense to spacey's comment than when ANF and the like are making fun of a murdered wife and child. For some reason it doesn't offend us as much, i guess.

My guess is that he thought you were a legitimate spammer creating a spam thread. He probably looked at your join date and thought you had just joined in order to spam that game. His response is pretty traditional in regards to how spammers are greeted on this forum. I'm not saying it's ok though.

Ahh ok. Yeah I had to rejoin all of the message boards because I lost access to one of my email accounts. So unfortunately all people see is a join date, not the fact that I have been around here for a while. It's just been so damn long that I forget all the old info. Yay for party-kid memory!

ANF has been banned several times for saying things that were crossing a line. he's got a harsh personality (it's one of the things we all love about him) but i've never heard him come out and disrespect someone in such a manner as Spacey Orange did (and if he ever did, he was suspended for it). joking around about people or situations you don't know who have no affiliation with TA is different than joking around about someone who was a member of this community. i'm not saying one is any better than the other - they're both in poor taste, but in regards to this community we all know which one is going to be seen as more offensive than the other.

i almost sent him a warning for that, but brushed it off as maybe just a silly random outburst that was better off untouched...
