Christianity branches into Catholicism, Orthodoxy, and in the 16th century Protestantism branched out of Catholicism and is now it own branch.
Protestantism has many braches which include Lutherans, Reformed/Presbyterians, Congregational/United Church of Christ, Evangelical, Charismatic, Baptists, Methodists, Nazarenes, Anabaptists, Seventh-day Adventists, Waldensians and Pentecostals.
Anglican and Episcopal Churches that are descended from the Church of England, don't consider themselves Protestant or Catholic. Rather, they believe that the Church of England wasn't formed during the Reformation but rather broke away from the Church of Rome.
