I need to borrow a copy of some version of Adobe Premiere pro before the end of this week. I was using what I had(Premiere 6.5) and it crashed while exporting.(It was going SO well too until decided to export using Quicktime) Can't export anymore nor can I reinstall it and I'm trying to have this thing done by Friday! LMK if you can help! Can send $$ for costs like shipping etc. PM me if you can.

Don't feel bad. Premiere Pro and Premiere Pro 2 are about just as prone to crashing as 6.5. Premiere Pro 3 beta was actually pretty stable, but who knows how the retail version that was just released is.
Unfortunately, I am in Santa Monica for the week working at E3 and don't have access to all my past versions of the software. Or I could probably help ya out.
It's what most of my team uses. I choose to use Grass Valley/Canopus Edius Broadcast (have an Edius HD system) cause it does what I need, is way faster to edit it, is nice and stable, etc...heheh

Premiere is evil like that, and as much as I don't care for Final Cut Pro/Apple fan boys, sometimes it's just so nice to have something work consistently straight out of the box. I'll see if I can dig something up if you still need it.
DaveT, I'm also going down for E3... I'm with Eidos so we'll be showing off Age of Conan and Kane & Lynch.

Vegas! It's inexpensive, doesnt crash all the time and doesnt complain as much with Xvid/huffy codecs

Have it. At least an old version. Haven't tried using it. Unfortunately, my video is finished in a Premiere project and JUST needs to be exported.

Unless its a newer version of Premiere, I can't use anything else. My video is all finished and needs to be exported like I said.
I'm trying my best to go with ALL my options so I can just have it done by this weekend before I go on vacation.
I don't care about keeping the program, I'll even delete it off of my computer. I just need the damn thing exported!
So working on a iso right now but don't know if it will download in time. :P Its going slow. Grr.
Then I'm going to try my sh*t version on my sister's computer.

I love Sony VEGAS! It's underrated and it's sometimes hated on, but it has a loyal core following. It's more than enough for 90% of the type of video editing I've ever done, and I've even done some good effects in it using all the very useful drag-and-drop effects. Starting up Premiere is a pain in itself, but I can hop into it for a few minutes, and do a quick edit for youtube or whatever. It also has some cool core features like its non-destructive editing. And only like an 80MB install file, with free trial.
However, I can't live without Premiere when I working with a whole mess of crappy codecs, and have to be transcoding, trying to open up weird formats, etc.
