Looking for tracks made recently, or within the last few years, which have a big-room trance sound but aren't riddled with huge breakdown/buildups.
Want something I can use to build sets that keep things moving. (Not to whore my own production, but stuff like my main profile song on my MySpace would be great.) I'm having trouble finding tracks like this and I often end up mixing a looped kick of one track into the breakdown of another just to keep it moving, but you can still hear it break down. I could make edits of some tracks but I'm just curious to see what suggestions people had for tracks that are already built this way.
Looking for more "ebb & flow" tracks rather than continuously interrupted tracks, but with a big trance sound (not psy or early 90's trance). Get my drift?
I only like to have a breakdown/buildup every once in a while, else it defeats the purpose.

If I remember correctly, the last posted set on Kenneth Thomas' MySpace page had a lot of songs like this... check it out.

Actually, that's an excellent idea... KT is pretty good at building sets this way. I'll give it a shot, thanks.

I suggest either editing the breakdowns or finding some good techno.
Both would be best though

Get Ableton and like someone else suggested edit them quickly using this program. As regards to finding tracks.. look at recent sets from Christopher Lawerence and in patches PVD.

in the amount of time it took you to make those quotes and write that post you could have edited at least 10 breakdowns

I'm a fast typer.
And yes, I can make my own edits, but that's not the point of this thread. Though your idea of using techno and personal trance edits is a good one...
