well i'm going away to playa del carmen on saturday and was just very pleasently surprised to see dj heather will be playing the night we arive at a club called la santanera i remember by chance 3 years ago, johan gielen was playing in cancun!
if you're going to ibiza etc. you expect good djs, but its a nice surprise when going you're going someplace thats not known for getting international talent.
any places you guys have been and caught good talent when you didn't expect it?

Last month when I was in Nice I was surprised to see a very professional DJ booth set up in a lounge right on the main beach there - we went back later in the week and they were pumping out some great tunes! (no idea who the DJ was, probably some local most likely)

It was happening while I was on vacation in a tiny resort town of Llloret De Mar, Spain. I had no idea it was happening while I was there. When I found out about it later, I wanted to shoot myself. For those that don't know the significance of the lineup, imagine the TOP 50 Trance/House DJs performing at one festival.
