A common way of doing robot voices is to use a vocoder, there are several free ones out there and of course some well known such as NI's, Orange's, AKAI's etc. Play around with the settings and wave forms until you find a sound you like.
Combining it with other effects suchs as distortion, phase distortion and "Camel Space" can also add a nice touch to it.
