How do i create a Wikipedia article

I've been scrambling through the Wikipedia help and FAQ articles but there doesn't seem to be a clear answer! The Wikipedia help is bloody useless and unclear. Could someone give me exact directions on how to create an article?

I keep trying to enter my birthday in and 2 days later it disapears. I am not of le famous statue yet.

you should be able to just make one lol. Isn't there a link that says " make wiki page" or "edit article"

Search for whatever it is you're trying to create a page about, if no article exists, you can create one. You have to be logged in.

Although if you can't figure out something as simple as that, you probably shouldn't be creating any articles.

search for the page you want to create. search won't yield anything. Instead, it'll give you an option to create the page.

Ok thanks guys, problem solved. Though I still think they've set things out a little clumsily, there really should be a link called 'create new article'

Actually it makes a lot of sense having it they way it is right now. If it they had the "create new article" link then there would be hundreds of different articles on the same subject.
