never heard atalla spin before, what kind of music does he spin, and like which mainstream dj(or local) would he be comparable to???

He spins DIRTY electro/tech/prog/minimal. I haven't seen a whole lot of Toronto dj's as of yet, but I would compare him to Sydney Blu.

The guy has an unbelievable amount of energy behind the decks. I caught part of his set in the gallery a year ago february by accident (my first time at guv coincidently). He's there once every other month and does footwork and comfort zone every month. You do NOT want to miss this guy. Check out this review if you aren't convinced yet...

stop looking at the time for the events on my myspace page. i just throw the event up there and never put in the exact time.

I saw/heard him spin next to Claude Vonstroke @ Footwork a month or two ago. Definitely has AMAZING energy behind the decks, making for very charismatic interaction between the crowd and the DJ. His style was techy/minimal that night, but that may have been to stay in keeping with Vonstroke's set. I really enjoyed his set regardless! I've only heard him spin the once, so this might ben an event to consider! I've heard that zone is open 6 am - 4pm.
