doesnt audition do time stretching?

i dunno much about this kind of work, but i assume people mostly use time stretching, and playing around with the waveform afterwards.

audition does timestretching, however, it can be ass at it sometimes with beats.

Not that this helps, but i find Cubase`s audio editor very adequate for changing tempos of samples.

Two solutions:

1) In audition there is a feature in the wave editor under effects called stretch. You have to calculate the ratio to go up to 125. It should be 125/128. Punch that in and use the default settings to get a time stretched sample.

The disadvantage to this strategy is that the editing may NOT be exactly precise so some instruments may be offbeat. Otherwise it's the best because it preserves pitch.

2) Next is to pitch bend which is in the same window as the first option. It's pretty straightforward to use. Problem here is that it may pitch bend the drum loop so it sounds "lower".

Give these two a try or wait for someone else to be more helpful.

if you want to keep using Audition...then I suggest getting a copy of propellerheads recycle 2.0...its pretty old and should be cheap if not free I think. It kicks ass for changing tempos of drum loops.
