how much you want to bet its because the wife didnt have a husband so they burned her kid.

"Savage by even Iraqs standards"

we need to preserve that culture. We really do. Such a rich heritage.

so youre comparing a culture that believes and practices rape and stoning on a regular basis and its codified into their lawbooks and has been widely practiced for centuries to acts prohibited by law and punished when discovered? Brilliant.

where did u get that idea??

U stated and used the news report as an example, ie, "burning the child", that single act, as part of their culture in your original post.

Firebomb the country and start over. Those religions sadly will keep them behind the times, which blocks education and technology.

I genuinely feel sad for the little kid. Hope they can get him out of Iraq and into a developed country for further treatment.

Yeah, I feel horrible for him and his family. Ive read too many stories about these acts being done to punish women in the community. They use the children and daughters as weapons against the older members to say "You see you cannot protect yourself from us"

So many people over there just need an out. The young generations throughout those regions -very much because of the internet- have been increasingly placed at odds with their culture and suffer from it terribly.

From the article:

So Zainab has taken a massive risk by telling her story to the world. Her husband works as a security guard, and it's too dangerous for him to talk to the media.

First of all, you apparently cannot read. Second of all, you make an insinuation that somehow, burning children is part of Iraqi culture, which coupled with your subsequent comments, shows you're clearly ignorant about said culture. Finally, based on a false premise (that she had no husband) that was clearly contradicted in the article that you linked to, you proceed to completely trash the culture (which you're clearly ignorant of) and make wild generalizations about how women in that culture are treated. Brilliant.
