oh this disc is a dvd with videos on it. i didnt see that. thanks man! I usually do not use the cd's when i get a new device. they usually ask you to install lots of crap. i just download the latest soft from the vendor.
it seems that it is really easier to make the universal maps on the device than to use an editor. shame that it can just use three of these pages to flip throught, i think it wouldnt be that difficult with their wrapper to have more so that you could have like one page per osc and one per filter etc... just my thought
edit: also the thing with the on/off buttons is easy. just enter a stepping of 127 in the rightmost box in the wrapper window. i just did that with an xml-editor and thought i was clever, now i see how easy that is...
sorry for asking such stupid things.
edit 2: you can also use two buttons for up/down, like for "select osc waveform". just assign two buttons to the same param and invert the "polarity" of one of them by switching 127 and 1

but the on/off thing youre talking about refers to normal maps with #cc's and not to the automap-universal wrapper where you click on the crosshair, move a knob on the plugin, move a knob on the sl, ready. with the universal wrapper i didnt find an on/off setting.
do you make new presets for each instrument or do you use the wrapper?
i am also starting to love that thing despite of the 3-page limitation. before i got it i thought i could use the sliders for all 6 lfos or oscs in z3ta+
btw. a friends brought the sl from the us for me. it saved me over 180€ (245$) plus a free m-tron software... thats insane, what a rip-off here in germany

I' am primarily using it in ableton live. i didnt use the live mixer-mapping yet but i guess it will be usefull too. my prime itent was to use it for creating patches, thats why i am complaining about the 3page limitation as i would like to map as many params as possible. used to do that with behringer bcr2000 ending up with endless wallpapers assignments that i had to look up for each synth. i just made a quick mockup of an xml-editor for the wrapper presets with jaxfront but i found out that it is way more convenient to edit with the knobs and buttons on the unit. only reason that i thought they might just have limited the pages on the guy out of lazyness, so i just added some more pages with my homebrew-editor but unfortunately the wrapper just ignores them.
