Speactra - Decisive Moment [Weird Trance] 192kbps Full
Hi TA's.
Just wanted to share this track with you, it's very differeent to my other tracks.
It's one of the sickest tracks i've done, it's some kinda mix of tech, psy and progress. Dont know what to call it, but I guess it's mostly psy.
It's not a serious track. It has happend alot to me the last weeks and yesterday i got the answer i've been wondering for over two weeks. I havent made any music for the whole summer so it felt good to sit down and just express my feelings through this track. Some calm, some anger and some sadness. Thats why the track is so weird.
It's not mastered and it took me just a couple of hours to make

Hey Alex! Sounds like you have had very confusing thoughts, defenitely mostly psy . Nice puls through the track and great effects. Liking the break! Good job!

Thanks for the review, just returning the favour here.
- Kick is a little hollow, i'd EQ out some mid-low's to make it a more ploppy psy sort of kick. Short compr. would sound nice i reckon.
- brilliant panning effects, the FM-screeches and stuff. Fit's nicely with the cleaner melodic synths too.
- Could use more rhythm in the tune, just a #2/8 #4/8 #6/8 #8/8 highhat will do realy i reckon. Also maybe an arping effect on the panning parts.
otherwise brilliant. I like tunes where i think to myself, i couldn't do this if i tried
Music is as universal to people as breathing. We've probably been at it since before we even started talking. Immaging two cavemen smashing away at a peace of flint to make a spearhead. It wouldn't take long for them to learn te synchronise the sound. And there you have it, the words first percussive band.
Music has survived wars, famines, the plague and many other things and has evolved with man across many cultures. Dance music is just the next step in the evolutionary chain. My guess is that it will probably be with us untill we are extinced.

I love the bubbling bassline, its really addictive... dont think I really heard something like this before
I also love the FX and their panning, maybe some more in-your-face FX would be cool.
Also agree about the kick feeling a little hollow.
The melody is nothing really outstanding but it seems pretty nice with the slightly minimal approach you made.

Yeah its a strange track, but not half bad. I think maybe the kick needs layering with a more low midsy kick to give it more "body". All the acidy elements are interesting for sure.
The pad in the middle is a beautiful breaking up of the track and really helps it I think, for some reason it reminds me a bit of the American Beauty soundtrack.
It would be cool to repeat this atmosphere later on in the track... If you expanded on this theme with maybe a piano and stuff, that could be interesting as well.
Overall its a cool track.
