Lemme tell you about it.....
Well, a shuffle beat or a 3/4 beat as many call it is simply a track that switches forward from different bpms to achieve that "marching sound". their are more ways, you could deliberately program with careful consideration the speed changes so it sounds like that(Some proggies can do this i think), another idea is setting speed down a notch, then instead of every fourth having the drum make it every 3rd , while the hihat/bass is still at number 2.
This achieves the effect too and very quite well.
Its quite simple, changing speeds up and down quick to give a bumpy sound.
Its the same as pulling a wagon......you pull fast it and then slow it rams up your arse.... you pull it at a constant speed it follows you.
