Red face The scoop...on vinyls and songs

OK why do local djs play some traks which are old when they can go grab new shit..? Do they have to have authorization by the producer of the trak b4 they play it? I see many djs here in houston who are barely started to play the Iio- Rapture (riva remix)..how come they dont go a grab a cdr and play the armin remix? IM kinda confused..are they ignorant or is there possible lawsuits which could be throwned?

Is it me, but what are you actually trying to say?

Authorization has nothing to do with it. If you have the vinyl you can play it.

How is a dj IGNORANT because he doesnt play a remix which is newer? Maybe he just doesnt like that particular remix.

What does a track being NEW have to do with anything? You play a track because either of two reasons.

#1 (Which is my only reason) Because you love the track and you want others to hear it as well.

#2 Because its new and you play everything thats new.

Dj because you feel the music and you want to spread what you think is great music to others. Not because its what you think others want to hear or because its new. Just my .02

Please, if I misunderstood you, explain in more detail what you meant.

Thanks =]

say for instance the dj...he buys a lot of vinyls but since he is in the states he cant seem to find those rare vinyls like southern sun..or clear blue moon..or dj dazzle--from within...

why not spin a mp3 on cdr....of a new trak which is awesome...i mean here in houston djs havent heard of ferry corsten-punk or eon -pocket damaage....WHY not spin those..on cdrs if u dont have the vinyl...instead of spinning ppk - ressurection week after week. IS THERE A problem with spinning new traks on cdrs instead of spining cheese..MAYBE what im tryiing to say is that djs here in houston are gay..plain and simple..and houston needs someone like me to bring holland to them....and killer musik to them...and make them stop playing old shit...if they got musik lying in front of them in their AG or europe websites which hold new vinyls?
