Digital Liquid - Typeface (Feat. K.M) - Driving Trance Full Track (comments pls)

Digital Liquid - Typeface (ft Kylie Minogue)

Driving trance - not quite peaktime dance floor stuff (depends where you go I suppose) but, still drives along with a warm enveloping feeling with one of the strangest vocals I have ever heard Kylie Minogue speak or sing. Again, the track is a proof of concept and is at the beginning of the upward curve with the new FL7, vsts and huge library of samples. Watch this space for new and improved tracks soon.

I'd really appreciate your comments - constructive or not - any feedback is welcome as it will get fed into the old grey matter and hopefully, recalled for future creations.

As always, enjoy - digital liquid

It's too fast. Much, much too fast. This sort of thing works for hard house and schranz, but not trance. Otherwise, it sounds well-made. Just hard to hear at that speed!

Thats a good point. It started out as a Riot Recordings type track and moved into to the melodic trance feel - I think its 154bpm back down by 10bpm at least then?

Thanks. :-)

Lower it by atleast 14 bpm. Melodic trance is rarely over 140 bpm.
I find the track thin and harsh in the high frequencies. Try to achieve a more balanced and even frequency spectrum. Consider adding a pad to fill out the mid frequencies.
I like the pluck synth in the breakdown. The arpreggiated synth however is just horrid.

Thank you - I appreciate you taking the time to listen and give the benefit of your advice !!

Time to perhaps strip it back or to use the constructive comments on the next creation...
