Mosaic - News from Middle Eastern Channels (Dubbed)

September 27th, 2007

I thought it would be nice to see the world from the eyes of those in the Middle East.

They're about as crazy as we are, the difference is that we've got the power and structure of years. For now... Bush is working hard to fix that.

I mean, we are the ones who opened the whole can of worms we call the Atomic Age. It's had massive implications that will resound throughout history. Who could have imagined that displacing a little bit of matter in spacetime would create such widespread cultural effects?

Our best hope now is the 'Information Age'.

I really don't understand why it's so hard for people to non-violently accept that other human beings will have different experiences and beliefs than we do. This works both ways.

I honestly think it might be natural within our lower levels of consciousness to oppress others, for the sake of evolutionary advantage. In this modern world, this is a HUGE detriment. That notion of oppressing and controls others is exactly what causes all of the strife and misinformation in this world.

Superpowers will always act as superpowers always have throughout history...

Noam Chomsky (superpowers)
{{{He also thinks that the United States as the world's remaining superpower acts in the same offensive ways as all superpowers. One of the key things superpowers do, Chomsky argues, is try to organize the world according to the interests of their establishment, using military and economic means. Chomsky has repeatedly emphasized that the overall framework of U.S. foreign policy can be explained by the domestic dominance of U.S. business interests and a drive to secure the state-capitalist system. Those interests set the political agenda and the economic goals that aim primarily at U.S. economic dominance.}}}

LOfuckinL I love how the last few mins Link TV begs for your money to stay afloat. They talk about how the mainstream media filters what you see yet that's exactly what LinkTV does. We saw clips from news reports in Qatar, Iraq, Iran, Syria, and Lebanon. Yet we didnt see the whole news, and most of that news is state-run with the exception of Al-Jazeera. All those news outlets, even if you were watching their entire news, they filter their news as well.

Please dont get me started on your balanced news networks like Foxnews.

Two interesting things I noticed about this clip: When They talked about how the new Iraqi forces are made up of the old Iraqi Army,and how most the current generals are the same ones under Saddams regime.Ironic how we got rid of a dictator yet most of those people are in charge today,eventhough they killed many of their own people.

Second thing I liked was their reporting on the protesters in NYC.I dont know but I sure as hell didnt hear about any protests on CNN or any other news networks here.

I just wish we would get Al-Jazeera instead of fuckin FoxNews.
