So here's the story...my friends from Toronto have been calling me and emailing me about Ferry spinning an 8 hour set on Thanksgiving in Toronto at the Guvernment. I looked at my schedule and saw that I am coming back from Puerto Vallarta November 20 which means I would have to leave for Toronto the day after I got back from Mexico. The flights were $600+ roundtrip and it would be a lot of flying after a week of craziness in Mexico.
But looking at the Ferry's web site I saw he was spinning Oct 7 at the Guvernment. Hmmm, is this just my brain acting up again or am I retarded? No way, that couldnt be the case. So I call my friends in Toronto and tell them about the October 7 date and they tell me that has been the date the entire time and that Canada celebrates Thanksgiving on October 8. ITS OUR COLUMBUS DAY!!!! Who knew they had a different Thanksgiving!? (Julia?)
So long story short, it was my brain acting up but good news is that I used my 2 free Southwest flight vouchers to book a flight into Buffalo, NY which is 2 hours from Toronto and I get to stay for free with Ferry fans in Toronto!
It's the Guvernment's 11 year anniversary party and FERRY IS SPINNING AN 8 HOUR SET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Plus the line up below!!!! AND Eric Prydz is spinnin at the Guvernment the Saturday night before!!!
This all happened within the last 48 hours so I'm pumped! Going to show those damn Canadiens how California TAs party!!!!!

hahah ya, their Thanksgiving is on a different day. They have a couple other holidays that are on different days too.
Also, I usually fly to Buffalo too when I go to Canada. It's cheaper by a couple hundered $'s.
Just warning u ahead of time, Guvernment gets ridiculously packed to the point that it's worse that being in a sardine can. It's not like LA where they have capacity rules... they just let EVERYONE in, ALL NIGHT, no matter how rammed it is inside.
But the vibe at the Guv is 100x better than it is i LA.
Have a blastttttttttt!!!! I LOVE CANADA!!!!

Tell your friends to take you on a drive outside of Toronto. Toronto itself isn't the prettiest city, but the cities around it are so beautiful. If you're going Oct. 7, all the tree's are going to be different colors... red, yellow, orange, brown... you are going to be in awe at how BEAUTIFUL it is out there.
Make sure you have donuts @ Tim Horton's. Also, Lick's is the best burger place out there. Try to go there if you can.
