Bart van Wissen, one of Holland’s finest producers out there, has been a favourite of many big name dj’s for years now. It’s hard to pigeonhole this dutchie down to one sound as he’s always expanding his horizons and trying out new things. After this year’s success of the “Crazy Local EP” on Sick Watona and his “Jaywalking EP” on Vapour he continues his never-ending stream of quality productions on Groovecollection Originals. Support comes from none other than house masters Luke Fair, Rene Amesz, Ricky Ryan and Desyn Masiello among others.
First up is “Concentrate” which is just full of blissful housyness and crazy melodicness. A groovy bassline along with some trippy sound effects and synth stabs guide you through the first two and a half minutes. Then the break is ready and waiting to take you on a funky and groovy journey. A bell-like hook joins the already strong forces and makes you wanna wiggle and shake even more. If the “Crazy Local EP” was your thing, so should this.
“Never A Right Time” shows the even more trippier and twisted side of Bart van Wissen. A funky and chunky bass/beat combination, fat synths and tribal-like percussion are the ingredients that the madhead chef serves to spice up the dancefloor. Crunchy flavour to the max!
Last but not least is “Contraband”. Non cheesy eIectro house with a little 80’s feel is maybe the best way to describe this little melodic rascal. The chord changes in the middle of the track add that extra variety a lot of producers seem to forget these days. Together with the other two tracks this simply is house at its best!

J-Punch: This is great stuff. I really like Concentrate. What a fantastic track. Actually all 3 tracks are very cool but Concentrate is my favourite.
