[Review] Roger Sanchez @ Vanguard
I got to the venue w/ my best friend and this chick I've been seeing on and off since January (bad move taking her).
We got to the Vanguard around 10. It was nice to see they were letting everyone in as fast as they could and they went a lil easy on the pat downs (more like a weapons check in instead of empty everything out of your pockets).
It was nice to see Roger out right from the beginning! He played some of his tribal jams in the beginning. I knew it would probably be the only chance to dance on a free dancefloor.
I ended up losing my buddy who help my keyes since I really had no pockets with my Hugh Hefner costume. And the chick I came with basically ruined my night since she isn't down with EDM. She tries...but she really can't take more than an hour! She wanted to leave at like midnight! I really don't know why I bother taking her with me. Sometimes I feel like she purposely wants to leave since she sees me enjoying it so much!
Losing my buddy gave me some time to leave her in Cabana for a lil and
"look for him"
F that...I went and got my groove on for a lil!
I would have been down for some after hours action but I chose back to my place instead.
Can anyone ID a song that he played both Thursday night and Saturday night towards the beginning of his set...think the vocals go "JACK YOUR BODY...JACK YOUR BODY...JACK...JACK...JACK YOUR BODY"
Well at least thats what I think it says.

Wasn't there, but I bet it's Grant Nelson - Season of Jack (Jesse Garcia Piano Mix). He's been playing it on his podcast.

Why is that a problem? I thought you were running the hip hop room now.

I really wanted to go to Avalon for Prydz but everyone else in the group that I was partying with Saturday night wanted to go to Sanchez so we went. Plus, it wasn't a problem at all with the list at Vanguard.
I thought that the night would be just okay but I was insanely mistaken! We got to Vanguard right at 9:30 so we would have no troubles with the list and the lines. Got inside and Roger was playing his more tribal and progressive tunes as I'm sure he had 100+ tracks lined up for that night. Vanguard stayed pretty empty for a whole 20-30 minutes lol. We all went outside to smoke and when we came back downstairs it was packed! From 11 to close Roger absolutely destroyed it!! He was amazing and his set was superb!
Still really bummed that I missed Prydz but man oh man what a fun night at Vanguard!

Yea, was funny to see the floor empty when we walked in around 1015ish, go outside, have a drink then I left my hubby outside to go to the bathroom, I walk in and I'm like WOAH, the floor is packed. That was kinda crazy.
Roger was awesome! My body is so sore...that was how hard I was dancing. I have a couple pics I dont remember taking or being in. I guess I had one too many drinks. Glad we went.
Oh nice to meet TommyfromLA(briefly haha) and good to see ya Mar46017, JC and David.
