Does anyone have any interesting articles to read concerning the North American Union? And the "Amero" which will most likely be the currency we adopt?

I have googled it, and read a few short articles but I figured someone on here had something more substantial and interesting.

To get the "discussion" kicked off though, here are some little questions...

1) Why is this not HUGE news in Mexico/Canada/USA?
2) Who will gain most from this "Agreement"?
3) Economically, will we be able to compete with the European union?
4) How do all you North Americans feel about giving up your current currency? (The Greenback, loonies, pessos)
5) With the existence of the European and African Unions already, and the North American/Asian Unions soon on their way, what is the next step after that? A global government of some sort, or is that going too far?
