haha yeah.
one time I threw a party which got 500 people the first time and was a great success, and then I tried to throw it again and barely anyone besides friends showed up. I definitely would have liked to fast foward that night. Club owner giving us dirty looks, losing money on renting a venue, etc is not fun. Also the worrying about turnout made it very difficult to concentrate and get into the music, especially since I had just begun deejaying basically.
I can think of other times where I have been booked to play a party with the expectation that I will play top 40 or something. I don´t play top 40, and I always make this clear to clients, unless the price is very right. As it was though I played relatively commercial music which was more understandable for the crowd, but very boring for me. You kind of have to act the part too when people are enjoying the music, so you kind of feel like a whore
not that i´ve ever been a male prostitute
