So disappointed that I couldn't enter in this week! Time just crept up on me and before I knew it the deadline came and went.
Well done Fabian!
This is a great competition... I think we could probably tweak how it works just a little and I think I would like to have my record label sponsor it with a decent prize (like a trigger finger/x-session or Axiom?) , and/or release.
PS. Fabian, BTW I am up for a beer, but I am interstate this week.. I'll email you a good day.

Yeah unfortunately I had to drop out as well since my CPU began overclocking on Friday. Unfortunately Intel will take about 2 weeks to get me a new one, so it seems I'm shit out of luck till then.
Congratulations Fabian on winning the first season of TAPS Idol!

Cool, either send me a pm or email me at the fabrikeuropa address, it'll be cool to catch up and chat!
Yes, the way the competition runs can be tweaked...it has been a really good learning experience. I've wondered what it would be like if prizes were offered...it's definitely a big consideration for the next comp. Potentially the timing could be tweaked too...thinking will take place!
Chat soon!

Thankyou, shame about the CPU! It's so frustrating when technology doesn't work. But computers allow us musicians to do so much...
...yay for winning by default! Obviously not satisfying, but I learned more about the tools I use, doing the challenges and working outside my usual comfort zone. It made me get a little more creative with what I was doing.
...but hey, maybe I can have the words "reigning champion" after my name, in the next competition. Heh heh.
Thanks for entering and producing quality music! We'll make the next comp bigger and better!

Yes, I'm thinking a week and a half per challenge (so two weekends) and two or three days of voting.
As Anthony said, it'll probably be a few months. I wouldn't really want to run into Christmas, we may have a lot of people busy with other things around then, and drop out...
Probably fairly early next year! We'll advertise it quite prominently. It'll be great to have you on board!
