so yeah, people always talk about hip hop and what not DJ's that just play top 40 kind of stuff, but the more I pay attention to what other DJ's are playing, I notice that a ridiculous amount of them are playing like a top 40 thing for trance. Like for instance the tack Not Exactly - deadmau5. It's a good track, but everyone and there mom plays it.

A good track is a good track no matter how many people whore it or how many weeks it stays on the Beatport #1.

yeah...but people don't like hearing the same tracks over and over again

you gotta play top 40 to get respected if not you wont get much respect. Dj play top 40 not because they suck but because thats what people wanna hear. It's frustrating when u play track u like and no one appreciate it.

yeah..if you just play the same stuff as any other dj, well it just makes you the same as that DJ. you gotta find the hidden stuff that not a lot of people listen to to get respect.

people dont even know the top 40 and it's there cuz it WORK. Maybe people on TA doesnt give respect to those dj but most people do.

well deadmau5 isn't exactly cascada, it's closer to the hidden stuff.

something thats on the top 10 tracks on almost all websites that you use to buy EDM music from, I'd say its not very hidden...like i said every DJ and their mum is spinning it, but whatever

he choosed to make it on the top 40. if not it would have stayed hidden
