PARIS - Interpol sought public help Monday in identifying a suspected pedophile, revealing a technique to unscramble digitally altered images to show the face of a man seen in Internet photos sexually abusing young boys in Vietnam and Cambodia.

Saw it on 60 Minutes last night. It seems totally possible. Would've been a much better move if he had just put a black bar over his face or just cut it out.
The portion of 60 Minutes that was on was about a whole group in Interpol that takes a look at the photos of child porn being distributed and looks for anything in the background that could identify where it was taken. The top of a Pringles box identified a small area in England, and they found something in one picture that narrowed it down to a country in South America, then sent the photo to someone in that country who identified something else in the photo that showed it was from one specific hospital and ended up breaking the case.
Neat stuff, really. The end of the interview focused on how much Interpol can do and would be able to help in international crime, but it receives far less donations yearly than places such as the NYPD. They also mentioned how Homeland Security doesn't really help them out, either.
