What happened to Tiesto, Paul van Dyk, Markus Schulz, Gabriel & Dresden when they changed their "musical formula" ? They turned to crap imo, a successful artist will always keep their signature sounds in each of their productions. Think of it as if a painter such as Monet totally changed their style and began using completely different painting strokes. Same goes with music. Kandi in my opinion is successful because he doesn't stray too far from his own musical boundaries.

Hmmm, not quite. If you listen to older Van Dyk yes you could almost immediately know that it was a Van Dyk track, but there was still some variation on that theme. Columbia and Avenue are very different tracks to say Another Way or Tell Me Why, but no less obvious PvD productions.
I think what people are saying about Mr Kandi here, and Im inclined to agree, is that most of his stuff follows a very similar formula to Child. Now Im not going to bang on about this being a bad thing, he can make what he wants to, but to say he's redifing the trance scene is perhaps a tad too far.
