Got there just a little bit after 2 am, I was surprised of the turnout that night. at about 2:30 Kris Morton came on starting off with the jet engine sound from Simon Patterson - F-16 to Arctic Monkey - When the sun goes down (SvD Remix) It was at the point that I knew this was gonna be a good set . After 45 min I was sweating like a pig from dancing too hard lol. Thank you again for Kaktus and Riff Kris, I had to take out my ear plugs for the majority of your set I'm gonna go dead lol. The closing DJ did an alright job, didn't really have a flow, but he did play a hard trance remix of Robert Miles - Children . It was nice meeting you hardcore trancer, I couldn't really catch your name since we were right in front of the speakers lol... I know it starts with an N... And nice seeing you again blazed.

I woke up riding on a high still.
I don't even know what to say yet, as I'm still puting together how awesome the night was!
Robbie played fucking killer to open the night with! I'm so glad that the clocks went back an hour and he got to play almost an hour longer! Nobody plays the style of music like Stilez does.
Darroo played some awesome banging tracks, especially loved the DuMonde ones
Glad you liked my intro Vince. I made that intromix especially for coming on after the harder dj's, probably one of my fave intromixes I've come up with. No prob on the Riff & Kaktus either mate. It was finally nice to play a hard bangin set that I always want to play. It felt great not having to hold anything back and just play my heart out. The soundsystem was unfreakingbelievable too!!!!
Superloud shout-outs to Navid and Sonny though! You've definatley made my first "real" gig in Toronto one to remember! Trance nights at Rio are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ON!!!! Thanks Navid, and Rio Management for asking us to come back again next week
I was surprised there wasn't more of a TA turnout though. Raf was the only new TA I met last night (nice the meet you man). I think TA's would really really like this night, and hopefully we can get more out in the upcoming weeks. Don't worry Nick, I didn't forget about you either Can't thank you enough for coming out and giving us a ride!!
btw, I recorded mine and Robbie's sets and we'll get them out by the end of the week, and I'll post up the pictures and vidz a bit later when they're ready
Sonny, it was great meeting you and despite only catching the first 20-30 mins of your set I loved it. Navid and crew - much appreciation for making this night possible and reviving a much needed trance in your pants night out!
As for Morton, ah well he destroyed the place. After a solid 1hr 45mins I could not keep up and had to take a breather. It would have been nice to have changed the timeslots so that the progression into the harder beats came on at 2:30am but nonetheless I had a fantastic time. My body is going to be feeling it for atleast the next few days. Invasionmix, nice to see you pounding it out for our local TA's
Best of luck to all the DJ's in the near future as there are going to be some unforgettable nights to be had!!
