Drunk Contra 4!!! 2D sidescrolling goodness on the DS!

I just totally stumbled onto this by accident this morning. I had no idea they were making a Contra 4, and on the DS in good old fashioned 2D no less! Contra on the NES and Super Contra on the SNES are some of my favorite games of all time. I can't wait to get my hands on this!

Reviews are looking pretty good:

Just picked it up at the local EBGames.

Its as awesome as I had hoped it would be. The game is freakin HARD as shit and this is just playing it normal difficulty. I'm sure I'll get used to the levels eventually, but just playing it right off I was dying all over the place. Also, and I cannot understand for the life of me why they would leave something like this out, but you cannot config your buttons! WTF? I don't like the jump and shoot buttons it would feel more natural for me if I could switch them around but there is no changing any of the button assignments.

Despite all of that I'm loving this game. If you ever owned a NES and still love that old school 2D look, you have to get this game. Its kind of like a trip back in time, playing a 2D side scroller, but with pretty up to date graphics.

There is multiplayer but only locally, no playing with friends over the internet via wifi.

lol!

Not that I condone it:

Cheat: The Konami Code

The classic Konami Code works in this game! Instead of using it at the game intro, however, you'll want to use it after pausing your game. Using it will give you the best version of certain weapons. In case you've forgotten the Konami Code (or never knew it), it's the following: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Start.

Unlockable: Super C (NES)

To unlock the original NES Super C title, complete at least eight challenges in Challenge Mode.
Unlockable: Contra (NES)

To unlock the original NES Contra title, complete at least four challenges in Challenge Mode.
Unlockable: Challenge Mode

Beat the game on any difficulty level to unlock a new mode called Challenge Mode.
Unlockable: Probotector

To play as Probotector, clear at least twelve challenges in Challenge Mode

Keep beating challenges and you'll get a girl character with a huge ass! I've been using her ever since. I'm up to 23/40 completed. Some of those just seem impossible to complete.

Game is hard as shit. I beat it on easy but there is a huge gap between easy and normal.

I'm hoping once all of the 40 challenges are completed, Contra III on the SNES is on there somewhere. We'll see...

I love the double weapon powerup that is badass.
