i don't know too much about photoshop, but i recently bought a CD printer and made a template on photoshop. when using the elliptical tool to make the work paths around the inner ring, it asks something about pixel tolerance (the default was at 2.0) and after i hit okay, the circle becomes messed up.. my question is... why??? how can i make a perfect circle?
this is how it looks in photoshop...
this is a smaller version (kind of easier to see the irregularities)
and this is how it looks when i print it
any help would be greatly appreciated
EDIT: and when i change the pixel tolerance to higher or lower numbers, it just gets even worse and jagged

Hold down the shift key when you make your circle.

i did alt+shift to get it centered right. when i make the circle it looks fine, it's when i try to make it a work path (and it asks for the pixel tolerance) that the circle gets stupid.

use a .5 pixel tolerance
OR
use a shape tool to draw the circular path and not the circular selection tool.

You could make a perfect circle using the shape tool and then create a layer mask with the circle. This may be easier for you than using a work path. Also, make sure your dpi settings are at least 200. That's what you need if you're sending out files to print.
