Yeah, that's probably it.

I have to say I'm not really a fan of this sound - there is the odd good tune you hear but I really don't get a lot of it and can't see how much of it would work in a club enviroment - that being said this stuff seems to be quite popular in the glasgow scene right now. |
I imagine it would work, especially Rocket Scientist and Master Organism.
You just have to know how to incorporate it in your set so it goes with the flow.
Indeed it is.

Have some trouble with Dopplereffekt, strangely. Linear Accelerator is the kind of stuff which is hard to get into and even their more "easy" work turn me down a bit (except Voice Activated. Genius.) I think I don't like their music, plain and simple. |
I think their whole Gesamtkunstwerk album is not at all hard to listen to, but Linear Accelerator sounds like it has been done by a completely different artist.

Drexciya on another hand is excellent. Out of what I heard, Neptune's Lair takes the cake. This album is close to perfect: excellent music, excellent flow (it does really tell a story and takes you on a journey: I know those expressions have been used to death, but for once it is very real), best illustration of the Drexciyan imagery... Out of the CD albums, it's the best (I know of). There are some excellent tracks on the other releases though (Birth of New Life, Cascading Celestial Giants). |
Yeah, I've read something about that on Wikipedia. Very interesting approach to music.

James Stinson, the driving member behind Drexciya, was actually a truck driver. |
The more you know...
