PvD at gatecrasher 26th April
well yesterday was the first time i saw a pvd set. can't believe hpow intense the guy gets during a set! everytime he cued the next record he'd step right back from the decks and listen intensely. he just kept walking backwards and forward all the time.
he played (most of it was 'reworked' by him)
- a daft punk tune
- ebtg : single
- second sun - empire
- binary finary
- another way
- jam and spoon - be angeled
- flight 643
- roger goode: in the begining (FC)
- prob suzanne
those are what i can remember right now. i have to say that the
FC tune didn't really fit. he pitched it quite alot and it didn't sound right. i also have to say that i found some of his mixing a bit choppy, some of it was too quick and didn't blend that well. was cool thou- was just a couple of metres away from him.
regards

oh yeah and he played sonorous - glass garden!
IF ANYONE KNOWS ANY OTHERS THAT WERE PLAYED, CAN U POST EM UP HERE CHEERS

Ah you went! How was it? How did it compare to Sheffield? Good crowd? Many crasherkids (other than the real ones of course )?

U mean gatecrasher @ heaven in london right ? heh
Infinity and I was there too, i don't remember him dropping Be.Angeled (i hate that track btw)
The Place was packed out !
Paul's mixing for the whole was very good, flawless as usual but there was one or two that also seemed to me overpitched.
At least he (imo) was not predictable in his set, a lot of DJ's are getting too predictable at the mo
U know what they are gonna play b4 they have played it if u know what i mean

yeah i mean the one at heaven. he definitely played jam and spoon in the last 1/2 hr or so (from quarter to three onwards). there were nt that may crasher kids and i didn't really get the ones that were there. I mean they spend absolutely loads on dayglo-neon clothes, blue lights, random flashy things, glowasticks crazy flourescent hairgel, and as lot of them just sat on the balconies at the side sucking their dummies! what's that all about? i spose they are wicked to look at thou!
hey infinti or wickd neo, did either of you see the girl in the pink bikin on the stairs to the left of the stage, during the breakdowns she just get doing these weird swaying arm movements toward the crowds, like she kept introducing everyone to PvD if that makes sense....i made sure to get a picture with her.
btw did u make sure to keep your bums to the wall??!
...oh yeah he also played FC - punk
can anyone help with other songs that were played, particulary the vocal ones...i loved that tracey thorne one! - would kill for a link!
I see your 4 Crushs and raise you 3 As The Rush Comes. - Yan from PvD's first summerstage event in '03

Ahhhhhh at that time i was talking to PvD's manager, and also managed to get 10 minutes with Paul as well
asked him a few questions and said a few hello's to him and passed messages on from the TA chatroom to him
it would be amazing if we could get the hole 3 hours

I believe the "Daft Punk"-like you're referring to is actually a tune van Dyk has been playing and highly praising is M Factor-Mother. Very interesting track...but thats what you should expect from PVD..

Dunno if this was on your list of tracks you can remember him playing, but he DEFINITELY banged out Space Brothers - Everywhere I Go (PvD Rework) half way through or so...
Fantastic!
Tho I didn't have a VIP wrist band it was fun enough walking past the massive crowds of people queueing outside straight to the front, heheh.
Let's hope that cameraman had the sense to take some photos of my ridiculous shirt I was wearing, lol.
