Florida Breaks ---- Whose diggin it?

Who digs the Florida breaks??

Stuff like this----->>HERE

It's more structured, but the bass patterns are AWESOME!

It's a myspace page, but just let the track play through. Whatdaya think of Florida Breaks?

I think its boring and very easy to create. Face it, it's white boy hip-hop.

2 thumbs down, sorry.

Are DJ Icey, Baby Anne, and DJ X still active? Haha. I live in Florida and I haven't hear shit about Florida/funky breaks in over 4 years.

I listened to Icey's Essential Mix (a mix cd not radio 1 set) the other day actually. Christ it sounds dated. Great remix of Orbital - nothing left on it though.

He's still around but doing more nu-skool and electro breaks type stuff, he's had collaborations with Krafty Kuts and General Midi recently.

i love that track on that myspace, magic mike - 2001. i've had it for a while now.

i'm a tampa boy, i don't live there anymore but i was raised there. florida breaks is the reason i got into trance in the first place. back in the late 90's in tampa, you'd hear florida breaks on the radio in tampa. from there, i got into it, and then trance.

florida breaks, especially the tampa shit, used to be awesome. it wasn't "white boy hip hop" (ignorant much, btw?). baby anne, icey, huda hudia, dj fixx, infiniti, sharaz, tony faline, keith mackenzie, etc. were all extremely good.

if you want a real idea of florida breaks in its prime, go pick up:
dj baby anne - i'm about to break
it's a mix cd from 2002, her best in my opinion (i have all of hers).

Sets are hard to come by with Florida Breaks.

It is a simple structure, but the big bass, hip hoppy, yet still techno sound is just freakin awesome. Especially in the club, watchin the b-boys break and pop. I love glowstickin to it, having e-tards flock to me..

But I get my florida breaks from internet radio...

http://shoutcast.com/sbin/shoutcast...le=filename.pls
http://www.orbitalgrooves.com/

Both these stations are AWESOME. I've heard Tampa's X FACTORY on orbital before. The X FACTORY brings sooooo many many rollin trollin memories!!!!

What's popular now is like breaks and electro. Anybody heard "Electro Revolution?" That track is the SHIAAATTTT!! Yep, breaks and electro, who would have known? Check out "Jackal & Hyde". They kinda started the breaks-electro trend. Can't go wrong when the track is called - You fucking me makes me bilingual

Di.fm is playing SICK ASS BREAKS SET!!

Ok, check it - I dig Florida Breaks, but I can do without the glowstix and candy raver shit
The 90's were over 8 years ago...let the bass boom and the breakdowns flow,
but I cant stand fucking candy kids and dickwads out of their head,
crashin' into everyone like bumping cars at the local fair...dig?
