Attempting to make electro house smpl inside

I been getting more and more into electro house lately and thought i would try and make a tune. I'm not sure how it's going esp with the melody. I put together a 23 sec clip of what i did so far. I'm having trouble getting a good timbre i dunno, thoughts?

sounds ok...only thing is that the sounds have more of the trance definition...rather than electro house imho...

try to make the sounds more ... "rough" open the filters more to make the sounds not as smooth as you'd in trance...that's all...good beginning it's nice to experiment with different styles...

make your notes longer. if they cross over the bass kick then use a sidechain compressor. the bass needs to be dirtier. open the filter all the way. usually the patches for the bass in electro house are a really simple single osc saw or square. might want to change the bass line as well. it sounds a lot like the party boy song bassline. are you using a loop when the percussion comes in when that lead comes in? i like the lead a lot. try some more glide and slides on all the synths.
