I don't know about the waveforms (perhaps saw with a small pulsewidth square over top?), but the character comes from the filter envelope. A slow attack on the filter envelope is responsible for that initial sweep on the individual notes. Experiment with that a bit.

low cutoff with filter enveloppe, with a fast-medium filter enveloppe attack
