ok, i've been wanting this for a LONG time and haven't found a plug to do it... but after watching this vid from Future Music i think this is it.

Auto Filter now has an external source where you can send a trigger to effect its FREQUENCY not volume! i always thought this would be a great tool for those big basslines that instead of dipping volume to let the kick thru it would just rid itself of the frequencies that kick + bassline(whatever) shared.

can't wait for my copy to come in

anyone tried this, am i understanding this vid right?

Not the frequency but the envelope can be sidechained. But possible non the least.

For now you can just automate it to simulate sidechaining, like you would do with volume automation until you get Live 7. Make some dummy clips so you won't have to draw them in each time.

blast, you're right! it will never be as good doing it manually because the way the kick decays and the way the filter should open are too sensitive but i'll keep doing it this way until someone fullfills my request

U can do this in FL... *loving the peak controller*

Im looking forward to try out live 7 btw. looks promising.

Try the Envelope Controller in FL, way more flexible than the Peak Controller

Latest versions of T-Racks offers a improved Tube-Comp that u can do sidechain by frequency HPF..
Also u can use all the modules separately in tracks. T-racks is good for trance! I like it
