uncredible haak - unhuman [Sci-Fi]

Hey, I can't remember the last time I posted something here. Probably because I've only made crappy tiny clips for the last couple of years.
Anyway, I'm studying music technology now, and this tune was made for an assignment we got at school. We had to make a tune/sound piece that contained these things:

Midi recording with atleast 3 diff instruments
Audio recording
"Rhythmic phasing" using glass noises
Recording of your own voice saying/singing "A" for 30 seconds with automation in room and panning
Poly-sequence of random notes
A tone made with FM synthesis that gradually changes timbre, pitch and amplitude

So, keep that in mind when you listen .

loving those glass sounds - the beats awesome. Howd u do it?

Definately is not trance though haha - reminds me off prodigy or something similar - i love making beats like this also

have to admit, i dont think the melody goes with the bass, beat - cause the beat is very 'dark' and the mel is not, bit of a mix of style

but to be honset the last remarks a bit trivial as this song on the whole is wiked - seriously loving it. Loving the strings and those beats. Reminds me a bit of van gelis also (the dude who done music for blade runner whose a legend)

I reckon you should reintroduce those glass sounds again into the tune, say about in 3-4th minute - i miss them!!! also would make the song have more variety as it kinda repeats again and agina for a couple of minutes towards the end.

look forward to the grade my friend - it will be good.

what exactly r u studying?

Thanks for the comment
If by melody you mean those random notes, yeah they don't go well with anything cause they are randomly generated hehe. I will definately remove them when I work more on the track. And if i had time, I would have added more variety to the last part, definately some more drums atleast.

Thanks! I'm using Ableton Live mostly these days. One of the pads in this one is from Reason though.

This is really slick ambient/break material! The experimental elements rock with this piece. The stle of the track also makes a unique change -- it goes from cyborg-zombies in the introduction to a post-apocalypse dysporian dawn throughout the rest of the piece.

Personally... I would add some parts where the drums are filtered, or you get some shifty beats on alternative timbres together. Otherwise, this is a very interesting piece. THe guitar sound gives it a strong Pink Floyd feel, which I like alot. Meanwhile, the effects give it a touch of industrial... sweet!

Fixed!

Also, I agree 100%, I was always a fan of your work back when you posted more regularly, good to see you popping back in

edit: I was only like a minute in when I first replied, though I still agree with everything I said. One question though from a producers' standpoint, how did you record that guitar? I've been writing electronic music for several years now and I've just started experimenting with my guitar and I'm curious how to get those smoooooth slides without and noise from hitting the frets or anything (I'm also not a great guitar player)
Thanks dude

Hehe, that's pretty funny cause It's not a guitar . It's me "singing". I ran my voice through guitar rig, and everything you put through a guitar amp will sound guitarlike
