Sean Kingston - Beautiful Girls (tree shaker remix)

Something out of the ordinary here, a friend challenged me to remix top 40 songs to make them actually good, or as close as I can get. Last I did Ayo Technology, and for whatever reason I decided to try my hands on this piece of crap. I hate the original song, its a bastardization of Stand By Me, a favorite song of mine, and sean kingston can't even sing, but I digress. As much as I was doing this song for practice, its turning out not bad so I'm looking to get some opinions. No, its not trance, not by a looooong shot, but still. Worth a shot

Cheers

there's always a risk when rmxing shitty top40 traxx. you have to be careful, b/c it's not easy to take an annoying song and make it somewhat enjoyable.

your rendition is quite interesting...everything sounds syncd up really well.(use ableton?) but for me, the drums and vox have too much rvrb, and the drum sounds are a little thin sounding imo.

good start tho

Hah yeah, don't bother. It's god awful, and a ripoff of a classic. Another one of sean kingston's songs is a blatant rip-off of led zeppelin

All done in fruityloops, with reason rewired for the synths, but all sequencing and whatnot in fruityloops. And yeah, I've been playing around with the reverb, I was kinda going for a dub-esque sound, overcompressed, dark, and really really wet, but idk. i'll look into it
thanks for the comments all
