This actually could be a real post – my friend had a very similar idea before, if it is real:
What you describe “everywhere I go there are mysterious … people lurking around” talking about you on cell phones, plotting about you, sharing info about you, etc. and you have never seen or met any of them before - I believe this symptom is referred to as "delusions of grandeur" and if this goes on for a long period or if it interferes with your daily life or work you should find professional help.
(If friends/family of thread starter see this - my friend who had very similar symptoms was so caught up in their delusions that I think it would have been difficult for them to seek help on their own. At first I believed my friends claims and was ready to physically defend and help them, then after a day I realized it was all in their head. I went to the parents to explain to them that they needed professional mental help but the parents couldn’t understand the possibility that their child was wrong and that people everywhere were not after them. The parents kept buying protection and worrying about their child’s physical safety for a few days until they came around and I guess saw what I saw - that there was no evidence whatsoever of the absurd claims except the person’s word and realized it was a mental thing and found mental help.)
Also you don't need dream analysis or something like that - I think it’s a psychiatrist that has experience with these types of problems.
