i can stereo sidechain ok but how do u do it but having the kick as a signal like u would do when mono sidechaining...???
atm my kick is my signal but when it doesnt play the effect doesnt trigger!

Yeah, I agree! I always have 2 kick channels when I use sidechain in a track, the first one is the kick that you hear, and the second is the muted one for the trigger.

ive lowered the volume of the kick and if thats done there isnt a signal!
in mono sidechaining youd pan the signal left and the bass right and that somehow mutes the signal but allows the effect!

Great idea! What I've been doing up to this point is automating the kick to mute when I just want the effect... having a separate track already muted will make it much easier. Thanks!

when u mute the signal kick u kill the signal completly...

you cant do stereo-sidechaining in sx 3 as far as im aware. i do mono sidechaining with my kick and bass. although you could use a gate and duck the bass as the kick hits. the mono sidechain works for me as i mostly use an offbeat low end bass.
if anyone can do stereo sidechaining in sx 3 let us know
