so much tax would we be saving approximately?

i have no idea how POS tax works around here.

Sucks how the tax is not automatically built into the pricing of items in lots of places (like food places), coz I always think i've got enough until I hear "plus tax". GHEY. wtf kind of backward system do they have here

I have a Miele custom racing bike for sale if anyone is interested.
It's very fast and light. I haven't been on it in 5 years, so it's taking up space.

Best offer takes it, or trade for a good-working DJ turntable. No PST no GST!

Thats a good start.

Now only if Toronto would get their act together and start moving on their bike lane initiative.

quick FYI:

Bicycles are almost always at sale/lower prices during the off-season, which is winter, which is right now, which is an excellent time to buy a bike.

quick FYI (extended mix):

Bicycle Prices go up when summer hits. Get a bike now if you don't already have one. Find a shop that buys them and sell your OLD crappy bike and grab a new one with the PST exempt and prices being low due to the off-season.

.. i feel good now

good idea! lets sacrifice more viable car lanes for bike lanes that people can use for 4 months a year!

If you had not noticed, this country has an obesity problem, pollution problem, energy problem. We should be doing everything possible to get people off their asses, on onto their feet.

If the expansion is done properly, we won't have to sacrifice car lanes. The road should be expanded to accommodate an extra, very narrow lane for bikes. Obviously bike lanes will not be added to every road, because the physical space just does not exist.

Bike paths, lanes, and routes are present today, on a lot of roads that are not as busy with automobile traffic. The program should continue with this philosophy. The problem is, that the city has approved millions of dollars, and years of plans, but nobody is moving forward.

Jay, you are not blind. Clearly you can see some people riding their bikes year round? Who knows, if there were more space, maybe even more people would do so?
