Now only if Toronto would get their act together and start moving on their bike lane initiative. |

If you had not noticed, this country has an obesity problem, pollution problem, energy problem. We should be doing everything possible to get people off their asses, on onto their feet.
If the expansion is done properly, we won't have to sacrifice car lanes. The road should be expanded to accommodate an extra, very narrow lane for bikes. Obviously bike lanes will not be added to every road, because the physical space just does not exist.
Bike paths, lanes, and routes are present today, on a lot of roads that are not as busy with automobile traffic. The program should continue with this philosophy. The problem is, that the city has approved millions of dollars, and years of plans, but nobody is moving forward.
Jay, you are not blind. Clearly you can see some people riding their bikes year round? Who knows, if there were more space, maybe even more people would do so?
