I guess a nice way to turn a saw into a bassline is to use a sine that runs an octave lower as a sub-osc, and put the saw thru a LP filter, cutting it off in the lower regions, like 1k, with res value 0, then for some fatness you might want to use an extra saw a copy of the first one but slightly detuned and put the entire thing thru a pitch LFO with a very very subtle depth and a huger rate (so that it takes long cycles). Make sure the Amp attack is low, 0-2 msec to avoid choppy timing. no long releases to avoid cluttering up you kick.
