As for my actual review, last night CG played a solid set which I might have enjoyed more if I hadn't heard last week's set at Webster Hall. Although many of the tracks were the same the DC set was missing something. I felt like the tone of the set was softer and I don't think the openers did a good job prepping the flow...toward the end of the second openers set he played New York City and This World Is Watching Me which CG didn't build up to until the end of their set.

Nic & Bossi were dressed in their white but seems like few got the White Party memo or they just ignored it. Although energetic I didn't feel like CG were as energetic there as here...which is to be expected since they played in Calgary the night before and have a busy schedule.

As for Fur itself never being there before so it weirded me out to see all the hip hop crowd. Overall I found the crowd to be rude. Waited in line for an hour and I just watched randoms cut everyone in the line, no type of order. On the dance floor, I can't even tell you how many times I had a guy push me out of the way or stand on my foot, not step but stand there until I moved for him. It wasn't that crowded for that type of nonsense. Plus the molesting was unnecessary, there is no GRINDING to trance music!!!

On the positive side meet up with some TAs very nice awesome people who should come up to NYC more often for shows. AnyMore and cbr600RRgirl it was a pleasure meeting you guys. Also, DeRangedMind thanks for scaring off the molesters/crackies

^It is tiring! I decided I was going to DC for sure yesterday at noon. Basically I got to DC hung around at Union Station for 45min went to Fur then back to Union Station waited for ~2hr half asleep drinking my giant eggnog Starbucks latte then came back...man I wonder if I was dropped on my head as a kid because seriously thinking about it now that is craziness .

amazing night. too bad i'm burned out from all this so i wasn't in the mood, oh well... buuuuut, my god cg was rocking, nice nice songs. ah yes thanks to chimera66 for coming down here, that was awesome, by herself, grey hound down and back up. daaang. it was somewhat crowded but still had room of course. club gave out glowsticks and we were all spinning it and shizle. it was awesome. all the djs wore white, half the crowd did. wow nice track list. you're better than me at id ing songs. hahaha. i don't think they played heaven sent greg downey remix though and they didn't play back to s.f. which i like. or what you need. hmm. overall it was very very nice, fur sounded EXCELLENT, they tweeaked a lot and the voice were crisp from tiff lacey to kirsty hawkshaw, wow!!! i really liked that, sound was amazing. they keep getting better. next week will be even better with live jan johnston. nice to meet some of TA ppl and nice to meet chimera66, next time you're welcome to crash at our place. yes we can't wait for markus to come back, he comes twice a year january and june for past 3 years now. anyway, great night indeed

oh yea as far as ppl goes they're lil bit retarded but it's liek that everywhere,,, i ve had ppl dump their drink over me or stomp my foot and constantly moving around me when i was in nyc esp crobar, that was a sardine,,, but fur has a small hip hop and latin flooor upstairs and sometimes those ppl come down hopin for some action down stairs,,, yea they grind too ,hahahhaha. they also fight quiet often but haven't seen that in awhile, they do nice job throwing ppl out when that happens. it's not bad. free glowsitkcs given out and nice sound was good enough fo me. ok i'm back to sleeeeep zzzzzzzzzzzz

^heaven scent, i could be completely wrong but i typed that into my phone...i'll put a maybe next to it. as for hearing back to san fran i would have liked to hear that or borderline. personally i wanted to hear marcel woods - new feeling (nic chagall remix) and after a while flat out asked. either way solid set just not great.

as for the crowd hands down ruder than nyc and keep in mind i go out a ton here and comparatively from this one trip nyc > dc. only real exception was webster hall for sander. yeah crobar was packed but whenever i was there i had no problems and pretty much the same for pacha except that is is very very very small and people legitimately are almost on top of you because there is no space. it was full at fur but no so full that it was ok to shove past people the way a lot of people did. as for the mixed crowd it is like avalon. not hating on dc just comparing; i had a good time and will go back for sure. i REALLY want to come down for markus but my sister hates edm with a burning passion within her soul and no way she will allow me to go down when she's visiting me.

They definitely played Heaven Scent. I even have a text from AnyMore while I was in the bathroom confirming it.

Anyway... awesome night! Nice meeting you Wai. Just sucks cuz I wasnt feeling well all night.
