ive noticed quite a few including me have lava lamps in their studio,.. and they take quite a while about 80mins to work properly..

just simply take off the glass part and put it in the microwave for just 1 minute and when you put it back on it will start in no time.. (8/10mins)

dont put it longer then 1.30 mins in the microwave unless you want everything to explode...

Yeah, just don't put it on the stove. They tried that on Mythbusters and it didn't work out real well
