Desperately need people who want to go to Blue Mountain this weekend Chalet available
Here's the scoop
Rented a chalet for the weekend... All but 1 person bailed on it, now I've got this chalet that sleeps 3-6 people and there's only 2 of us going. I can't get my deposit back now and I'm left with a $350 charge for something I'm not going to use... so I'm asking, does anyone want to use this chalet for the weekend?? Even if 2 people want to come, my friend & I will still go so we can split the cost between everyone!! If you have 3-4 people yourself, I'll just let you take my reservation for yourselves.

Does anyone know how to talk to Visa and get the charges reversed from my credit card?? If I pull a no show.. will they reverse the charges knowing that I never used their services??

No shit, I would if I saw these people on a regular basis, but we booked it only 1 week in advance so the deposit is non-refundable, and we may have had nothing at all... it was a risk, and I lost... great way to start the birthday weekend Kris!!

suck it up and pay the cancellation fee...and if there isn't one, then you stick your friends who bailed with their share of the bill.
why should a business lose revenue because of your friends bailing on you?

your friends are sketchy and you're trying to pass the buck onto someone else.
"GFY" is what you should be saying to your not-so-good friends who stuck you with the bill.
if you struggle to pay rent, maybe you should have received cash up front before making the reservation.

Big lesson learned from dealing with all the cash crap - always collect $$ upfront. A buddy of mine did this right a while ago:
* awesome bachelor-party trip to vegas.
* if you want to come, hand me over $800.
* whatever we dont spend i'll refund you.
On that note, what does this chalet have? IE is it just a simple house with nice little extras (jacuzzi or some crap?)
