When I was in Georgia in 1993 during the Storm of the Century, it was snowing at about 6 inches per hour. Your storm today is puny.
It was March Break, and driving down to Florida non-stop, and it started coming down like crazy after passing Cincinnati. Once we reached Kentucky, cars were all over the place. By the time we reached Tennessee, there was a car in the ditch on the side of the highway every 50yards, I kid you not. Almost a foot of snow on the highway and all cars still driving were in single file in 2 tracks where you had to keep your tires on to keep from getting ditched. The only plates on the cars on the highway were from Ontario, Detroit and the northern states who drive with winter tires (me) or all-seasons. Definitely a road trip to remember.
