slippery ninja - slipstream

this is my first post on this forum and pretty much my first completed track which i'm fairly happy with but would love some feedback. sometimes a fresh pair of ears is needed so let me know what you think and what i could improve. even if you hate the song :P

A couple of decent melodies and I can see what you're doing with it but you have a fair bit to learn with respect to production. However, you have some good ideas so don't be discouraged.

A good next step would be to listen to each individual instrument in isolation and add an EQ to it to diminish unwanted frequencies/boost wanted freqs. Then when you are happy with the instruments by themselves, listen to them in ensemble. Alter the gain levels so that they are mixed in situ and don't drown each other out.

Keep mixing.

cheers. i can see im a way off from some of your tracks on myspace, well done. have a little trouble with mixing to be honest. i kind of get the general idea just havent got the intricacies of it yet. hadnt done any mixing on this track yet before posting but im giving it a go. thanks for listening anyways, hopefully i'll update with a finished track one of these days.
